What is gum disease?
Gum disease is an infection of the tissues that support your teeth. Early signs can include red or swollen gums, bleeding when brushing or flossing, persistent bad breath, and gums that pull away from the teeth. Without treatment, it can affect the bone that holds teeth in place.
